Stars Spend Big on Baby Fashion Designs in Los Angeles, CA

In Los Angeles, where celebrity babies have their own fans and six-year-olds employ personal stylists, fashion design appeals to even the youngest customers--or at least their parents.
In a new twist on the celebrity baby obsession that has long followed stars and their children, a new crop of celebrity baby blogs chronicles the lives, times, and dirty diapers of Hollywood's infant elite. Reader fascination with the pint-sized superstars extends to their fashion choices, which are often hand-picked by celebrity stylists.

Star Power and Fashion Merchandising

Of the baby-blog site Babyrazzi.com, MSNBC's Newsweek BlogWatch raves, "If you can't get enough of the Tom Kitten, the newest Trump Spawn or bursting-at-the-seams Brangelina, check out babyrazzi.com for the latest commentary and photos of celebrity breeders." Baby blogs like this seem like pure celebrity escapism, but smart fashion marketers in Los Angeles strive to get their brands recognized in this and other media outlets.
For an upstart children's fashion line, having a design featured on a blog site like Babyrazzi.com is merchandising gold. Accompanying a photo of model Heidi Klum and her toddler is the caption: "Here Heidi Klum's daughter, Leni is wearing a reversible dress by Right Bank Babies... Celebrity moms like Jennifer Garner and Courtney Cox-Arquette, who own the Sophia style dress, love their colorful, retro-inspired outfits for their little ones."

The Hottest Fashions in Diapers

Fashion merchandising for babies hits its stride on Web sites like Celebrity Baby Blog, where the latest in diaper bags and the latest baby boutiques are reviewed. One blogger gushed about shirts from an online children's boutique called Minifashionista: "Gavin Rossdale recently bought both shirts for his son, Kingston, with Gwen Stefani."
Fashion design, merchandising, and marketing gurus are always finding new ways to spread the word about a new brand. For Los Angeles fashion industry experts, baby blogs are a brilliant advertising avenue.
