Tips on the 'Elevator Pitch'

In business, you’re always selling – and often what you’re selling is yourself. That’s why business schools encourage their students to master the art of the elevator pitch – the two-minute spiel you’d give to your dream boss or partner if you happened to be alone with them for the length of an elevator ride. Short, punchy and compelling, in real life the elevator pitch works as well at a cocktail party as it does in a corporate high-rise, and these days it can be adapted to social media platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn.
